Angel of Death

Doesn’t your heart notice this big lack?
Don’t you feel the glances on your back?
And don’t you feel, how your body sinks
In the coldness the Angel always brings?
The rustle of its wings is so mollifying,
'Cause it makes now your sleeping mind dying.

You don’t have to ask yourself,
Who this mysterious Angel can be.
You see the hand of the clock go to twelve
And you notice the Angel of Death creep...
(towards you...)

He comes from heaven to earth
To start a brandnew search,
'Cause he knows like you and me:
there’s always one who has to leave.
With his charme and beauty
For him, it’s a very easy duty.
People follow him in death voluntary,
Blinded by the mask of the kind fairy.

Weakness is ruling your body,
Your soul is keeping ready
To leave its mantle for a place in the other world
Where it’s peaceful and angels keep their word.
Before your eyes a curtain falls down,
There’s darkness, which makes you drown.

You don’t have to wonder,
Why you suddenly feel so freed.
It’s too late for beginning to ponder,
'Cause the angel has made you bleed...
(to death...)

He comes from heaven to earth
To start a brandnew search,
'Cause he knows like you and me:
there’s always one who has to leave.
With his charme and beauty
For him, it’s a very easy duty.
People follow him in death voluntary,
Blinded by the mask of the kind fairy.

A bright light disposses your gaze
There’s a power which could raze
(everything easily)
You’re flying away without any route
And you’re hearing withal someone hoot
(you down loudly).
The effortleness was blown away by the wind
So you must take pains if you don’t want to sink
(deedless to the bottom).
All this is the wonderful angel’s fault,
He isn’t as pleasant as you’ve thought
(Everyone can put a mask on)...

He comes from heaven to earth
To start a brandnew search,
'Cause he knows like you and me:
there’s always one who has to leave.
With his charme and beauty
For him, it’s a very easy duty.
People follow him in death voluntary,
Blinded by the mask of the kind fairy.
